Product Overview
The 4-Channel MADI Fiber Optic Extender is a professional rack-mount digital audio transmission solution designed for long-distance MADI signal extension over optical fiber. It provides real-time, bidirectional conversion between MADI coaxial and optical fiber signals, maintaining high-fidelity audio quality without compression.
Each MADI channel supports up to 64 audio input and 64 audio output channels, making the system suitable for professional digital audio consoles, MADI stage boxes, interface boxes, broadcast systems, recording studios, and live sound applications.
The unit features four independent MADI optical fiber channels using 1.25 Gb/s four-fiber transmission with LC connectors. With single-mode fiber, the transmission distance can reach up to 20 km, providing a reliable solution for long-distance professional audio signal transmission.
The converter provides 75-ohm BNC MADI input and output interfaces and supports the AES10-2008 MADI standard. It is compatible with professional MADI equipment from DiGiCo and other major audio manufacturers.
Designed in a standard 19-inch 1U rack-mount format, the unit integrates easily into professional audio racks and equipment cabinets. It also features dual AC 220V power supplies with 1+1 redundant backup, improving system reliability for critical audio applications.

Transmission & Connectivity
The 4-Channel MADI Fiber Optic Extender converts MADI signals between 75-ohm BNC coaxial interfaces and optical fiber interfaces for long-distance transmission.
Each MADI channel provides one BNC input and one BNC output, supporting up to 64 audio input and 64 audio output channels. The four MADI links are transmitted through four optical fibers using LC connectors at a data rate of 1.25 Gb/s.
When used as a pair, the units can create a complete long-distance MADI extension system between a local audio console or interface box and remote MADI equipment.
