The FQ2DL-MM-4LC-1M 4-Channel Multimode Expanded-Beam Fiber Optic Circular Receptacle is a ruggedized multi-channel fiber optic chassis connector designed for professional audio, live sound, broadcast, stage production, rental AV, LED displays, and other demanding fiber optic applications.
The connector provides four independent multimode optical channels and uses spherical expanded-beam optical technology with a non-physical-contact optical interface. The expanded optical beam helps reduce the influence of dust, dirt, and contamination while supporting stable optical performance during repeated mating.
A thread-locking mechanism provides secure mechanical retention during operation. The IP67-rated construction is designed for professional field environments where resistance to dust, water, contamination, and mechanical stress is required.

Expanded-Beam Optical Technology
The connector uses a spherical expanded-beam optical structure that transmits optical signals without direct physical contact between the fiber end faces.
The optical beam is expanded before crossing the connector interface and is then focused into the receiving fiber. The larger optical beam reduces the relative effect of small particles and contamination on the optical path compared with conventional physical-contact fiber connections.
