The FQ2CL-MM-4LC-1M 4-Channel OM4 Multimode Expanded-Beam Fiber Optic D-Shape Receptacle is a ruggedized multi-channel chassis-mount fiber optic connector designed for professional audio, live sound, broadcast, stage production, rental AV, LED displays, and other demanding applications.
The receptacle provides four independent optical channels using OM4 50/125μm multimode fiber and features spherical expanded-beam optical technology with a non-physical-contact optical interface.
Unlike conventional physical-contact fiber connectors, the optical fibers do not directly contact each other during mating. The expanded-beam design helps reduce the influence of dust, dirt, and contamination while supporting stable optical performance during repeated connection and disconnection.
The connector features a standard D-shaped mounting design for convenient installation on compatible equipment panels and chassis. A thread-locking mechanism provides secure mechanical retention during operation and helps prevent accidental disconnection.

The optical beam is expanded before passing through the connector interface and then focused back into the receiving fiber. The enlarged optical beam helps reduce the relative influence of dust and contamination compared with conventional physical-contact fiber connectors.
