The FQ2DL-MM-2LC-1M 2-Channel OM4 Multimode Expanded-Beam Fiber Optic D-Shape Receptacle is a ruggedized chassis-mount fiber optic connector designed for professional audio, live sound, broadcast, stage production, rental AV, LED displays, and other demanding applications.
The receptacle uses OM4 50/125μm multimode fiber and spherical expanded-beam optical technology with a non-physical-contact optical interface. Unlike conventional physical-contact fiber connectors, the optical fibers do not directly contact each other during mating. This design helps reduce the influence of dust, dirt, and contamination while maintaining stable optical performance during repeated connection and disconnection.

The FQ2DL-MM-2LC-1M uses a spherical expanded-beam optical structure to transmit optical signals without direct physical contact between fiber end faces.
The optical beam is expanded before passing through the connector interface and then focused back into the receiving fiber. The enlarged optical beam helps reduce the relative influence of dust and contamination compared with conventional physical-contact fiber connectors.
